Wendy is taking time to stop by the Lexington Main Library in Columbia on the way home from homeschool leaders conferences.
Your input is wanted so we can decide how to schedule this time that will benefit those who wish to attend.
Options include:
Teachers' Lounge - an informal drop-in for anyone who wants to meet other homeschool families, build friendships, network, ask questions, and enjoy time visiting with other homeschool families
How to Homeschool in SC - A one-hour workshop that discusses the laws in SC and helps outline how to begin homeschooling, record keeping, support groups, and curriculum. Time is allowed for questions.
Kindergarten and Elementary School - This workshop helps those who are beginning to homeschool in the elementary years understand the law and the freedom that they have. A major goal is to alleviate the fear and trepidation that many parents feel as they begin to homeschool.
Middle School - A one-hour workshop to help parents who are facing the middle school years. Whether just beginning to homeschool or transitioning from elementary school to middle school this will help parents face these years confidently.
How to Homeschool High School - This workshop covers topics such as where to begin, scheduling, credits, testing, records, transcripts, etc. It includes everything you need to know as you begin to homeschool high school.
You can choose your topic for this meeting by signing up under a specific registration type by September 13th.
If you have a preference for what you want us to do during this time, please sign up under your preferred session.
We may be able to split our time into more than one session depending upon how long we can schedule at the library.
The details will hopefully all be set by September 14th and an event will be posted for you to sign up and share.
The Lexington Main Library address is 5440 Augusta Rd, Lexington, SC 29072.
